Summary
Ensign Tendi has her first day of work on Starfleet's USS Cerritos, where she meets three fellow support crew members, Ensigns Mariner, Boimler, and Rutherford. Mariner and Boimler run into difficulty on Galar and Rutherford attempts to keep his dating life intact while an alien virus strikes the ship and infects the crew.

- Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Sunday, August 16, 2020 - 3:57 pm: How is Mariner not in the brig for her outrageous behavior? Repeated periods of confinement have little to no effect on her behaviour, as her father points out during the terse vid-link conversation between her parents.
- They sleep in a hallway??? There may not be sufficient space on board for dedicated crew quarters.
- Why don't those spacesuits have some kind of propulsion device with them? This probably makes them easier to store and safer to use.
- Why the heck is Mariner still in Starfleet? She seems like the type to resign her commission and join up with freelancers, selling her services to the highest bidder. Starfleet does not have a monopoly on starships. M Crane (Mcrane) on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 - 5:13 am: Nepotism? Her mother is the captain and her dad's an Admiral. Besides, Ro Laren lead a team that got people killed when she disobeyed orders, and she still got to be in Starfleet, and even got posted to the flagship. I get the feeling her mom is more than willing to get rid of her. But my question was more from Mariner's POV. She hates all the rules and regulations of Starfleet so why stay?
